DESCRIPTION:Calling All Paddlers!- Maritime Museum Open Paddle\n\n \n\nJoin Michigan Maritime Museum members\, students\, volunteers\, and other paddlers for a beautiful fall paddle on the serene Black River in South Haven on September 15th from 10am to noon. Paddlers can bring their own equipment or rent from one of our event partners at a special price (Outpost Sports and SoHo Kayak Paddleboard Rentals). Canoes\, kayaks\, and paddle boards are all welcome to participate. This is an event for all\, so bring out the whole family! "It's a great way to enjoy a beautiful river in our own backyard\," says Director of Education Ashley Deming. "It's almost like you're back in time exploring Michigan's waterways for the first time." Paddlers will launch from the Black River Park public boat launch for a leisurely led paddle up the river and back. Paddlers are encouraged to visit the Museum (included in registration) after the event and enjoy local craft brews with their participant discount coupon at the South Haven Brew Pub. Registration is $10 for adults\, $5 for kids and includes Museum admission. Museum Member registration is FREE. Registration is required on or before Wednesday\, September 12th.
