About the Job:

Operations employees working in the first shift tarping or second shift department are responsible for producing quality US Tarp products. They are trained to use tools and equipment for cutting and sewing tarps; adding grommets and labels according to product design. In addition, they assist with the needs in other departments to ensure US Tarp products are produced and shipped on time.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

The essential functions include, but are not limited to the following:

  • Accurately measure and cut tarp materials.
  • Read and interpret detailed instructions to ensure products are created efficiently and correctly.
  • Sew all regular and custom tarps; integrate webbing and reinforcement to tarp as required.
  • Accurately track and record daily sewing workload.
  • Add labels, grommets, and other accessories to tarps.
  • Deliver finished tarp to shipping.
  • Assist in other areas of operations as requested.
  • Other related duties as assigned.
Requirements:

Minimum Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities)

  • Ability to read, write, perform simple arithmetic, and measure accurately.
  • Attention to detail to ensure accuracy in production and documentation.
  • Ability to understand and maintain quality and safety standards.
  • Ability to detect problems and report information to appropriate channels.
